12 weeks and 1 day!

The 1st trimester is done, so yay! Yesterday I was 12 weeks and 1 day. I had my 12 week appt. Everything went well and I heard the heartbeat for the 1st time! Of course it was as amazing as hearing Aydans heartbeat for the 1st time. She said it was strong and everything looked great. Said I was doing well and that the lighthead-ness I've been having should pass within the next few weeks... Hopefully! I had lost 2 lbs since I had seen them last.. And that since I'm so tall it might take until 20 weeks to feel kicks. I didn't feel anything with Aydan until around 19 or so, so that sounds about right.

It was a good day yesterday! I took my 1st side profile picture yesterday too... picture above!

Fun jam packed weekend

This was a very fun weekend. It started out with us going to the Minor's baseball game. We won tickets from a benefit and Justin got to throw the 1st pitch out before the game. Aydan also got his picture the mascot Minor. He now has his picture with 4 of our favorite local teams... The St louis Cardinals, St louis Blues, and the Carbondale Saluki. Aydan had a lot of fun at the game and Dad even got him his own popcorn, so he was in heaven.
Saturday was filled with the best family nap.. Hadn't had one in awhile so that was nice. After my 1st week back at school and a really bad sore throat.. It was much needed. Other than that I didn't do much else, except a few errands and thousands of papers to grade.
Sunday was concluded with a nice church service out at the lake. Followed by a nice lunch. I felt light headed ALL morning so it that was not fun... But the weather and friends were too nice to not enjoy ourselves. Then the day was concluded with more and more and more grading and writing lesson plans for 4 days that I'll be gone with week. And another exciting highlight was I bought new luggage for our trip!

Best part of weekend: I'm officially 12 weeks ago today!!! Yay! 1st trimester done! I will post more about what's been happening with that after my doctor's appt tomorrow!

Jewelry Party

I had a Jewelry party Thursday night. I don't usually do these things because I hate to pressure people to come over and buy things. Buutttt, my sister asked me realllly nicely and it was going to benefit her starting selling it again (and can hopefully start making some extra cash she needs) And Premier jewelry happens to be my favorite, so that was good.
I had a lot of fun that night. It was a small group, which was fine. I had some people order before hand so it made the lady's drive worth to come for the party. The lady who came to present it was like the nicest lady ever. She even had one of those nice calmly voices that you could never say anything mean about. She brought a lot of jewelry to show which always make you want a lot more than you need. :)
All in all.. I think it was a success. I had fun and hope the people who came did too!!

From Crib to Big Boy Bed

Aydan's crib converted to a big boy version!
Aydan has been in his big boy bed for 1 week now and he's doing great! I'm so proud of how good he's doing in it. He lay in it until he falls asleep and doesn't get out to play at all. If he wakes up in the middle of the night he cries for me, but waits in it until I get there. I think the fact that's its still "his" crib makes it a comforting place to be. He will sleep in this one until Christmas until he get his real big boy bed and has no sides on it at all. My little baby is growning up... no passys, bottles, or crib anymore.   :(
One last hurdle left in the baby stage..... diapers. He's doing really well at that too. He pees in the potty a lot during the day, but can't can't get to the point where he tells me he needs to go. He tells right after he goes.. haha. We're getting there.

Back to School

So, we have been back to school for a week now and its nice to be back into a schedule... but I miss my little buddy every morning when I have to drop him off. He is going to a new daycare this year because his normal babysitter is recovering from heart surgery, so he's still getting used to things there. And every morning he doesn't want me to leave, breaks my heart... even though I know he's fine 2 minutes after I leave. Its hard to leave an infant, but it doesn't get any easier to leave his the older his gets. Each day he's doing better there and he painted a nice picture for daddy yesterday that was very sweet!

School has been good. I have my biggest class yet, but that's ok. We'll all still getting to know each other and they are learning my routines and how things are running. We have the parent teacher orientation tonight, so hopefully all the parents show up tonight!

My 1st Post!

This is my 1st post, so bare with me. My friends Kelly and Heather have great blogs and got me motivated to start my own.

My title.. Well let's see, I pondered it for about a week as to what to call my page and keep coming back to this same one.. My Precious Moments. I knew I would mainly be talking about Aydan on here and all my "precious moments" with him, so I found it fitting. This is a picture of my little precious moment and me at the Navy Pier this summer.

I will also make the announcement here to those who don't know that Justin and I are expecting our 2nd child in March. So not only will I be talking about Aydan, but the ups and downs of being pregnant again! Right now I'm only 11 weeks along, so its going to be a long 29 more weeks to come.. But going to treasure it because this will be our last one.(or so that's our plan!)
